The Skidmore Mind

 Creative Thought Matters. This positioning created by Holland Mark has become a central guiding principal at Skidmore College. The work that was done to support CTM centered around the idea of the Skidmore Mind as a unique type of mind comprised of some very specific attributes (Passion, Curiosity, Awareness, Confidence, Courage, Tenacity) suited to doing great things.

The executions explore these attributes in a fun, engaging way that is tonally consistent with the larger themes and leave no question that Skidmore is a special kind of place for a special kind of student.

Creative Thought Matters

Few brands embrace their tagline as closely as Skidmore College. Creative Thought Matters, actually matters to them and they wanted to express this even more clearly to prospective students.

We started by dissecting the attributes we believed were needed for true creativity: Passion, Curiosity, Awareness, Tenacity, Confidence, and Courage. Together these are what makes up The Skidmore Mind.

The idea was brought to life with bright, whimsical illustrations and a series of videos that range from silly to deeply meaningful, aimed at bringing these concepts to life for young people taking their first steps into adulthood.
